Venue
The Almaguin Community Trails are a volunteer maintained trail network for hiking and Nordic skiing. The trails are located at Alamguin Highlands Secondary School in South River and can be accessed by the public from the south western corner of the "student" parking lot. Race participants are encouraged to donate directly to the Almaguin Community Trails Organization to help cover the costs of trail maintenance and expansion.

The race course is a forested 5km loop that is primarily double track interspersed with some short technical single track sections. The elevation profile is rolling with no major climbs but with occasional low lying wet spots depending on weather conditions. There will be an aid station with fuel, portable washroom facilities, space for a bag drop and small tents as well as a campfire at the start/finish area which is a short walk from the parking lot.
